River Heritage Foundation, Inc.

River Heritage Foundation Inc. was organized in 2009 for the following purposes:

• To promote the efforts of the residents of the Upper Ohio Valley and visitors in recognizing, communicating and preserving the unique heritage of the Ohio River in areas of commerce and recreation.
• To conduct projects and programs designed to educate youth and adults in areas relating to the Upper Ohio Valley's heritage and the impact of that heritage on the culture and history of the region.
• To further educate youth and adults in the topics of engineering, science, industry and economics through presentations and events.
• To provide children and adults, both as residents of and visitors to the Upper Ohio River Valley, with a greater understanding of the historical aspects of the Upper Ohio River and its importance in the commercial and recreational development of the region and the nation.

River Heritage Foundation, Inc. will continue to service the Ohio Valley area.
